A shallow niche framed in Rapolano marble contains a mirror surmounted by a bas-relief in onyx, also designed by Vittorio Morpurgo, with symbols representing study, reading and reflection, to indicate the most private area of the house. Two high wooden doors lead into the double salon and bedrooms with internally illuminated alabaster slabs above.
