The dining room is one of the most beautiful rooms in the entire house, the last to be designed by Morpurgo.
An architectural masterpiece in which the severer formal ambience based on the Roman artistic tradition also concedes a more relaxed and lighter atmosphere. The room is based on circular lines where the blue, grey and brown tones of the furniture and walls dominate.
The furnishings revolve around the large oval table, from the polychrome designs of the floor and ceiling, to the magnificent ceiling light and all the rest. The convivial moment of lunch is celebrated with cheerful importance.
The cabinetwork, although designed by Morpurgo, is made by Fratelli Santi, among the protagonists of the Italian Novecento at the Milan Triennale V. In the corner is a smaller, round dining table, for daily use, and a French door opens onto a balcony overlooking the private road leading to the house.
Hidden behind the draperies, a door give access to the room leading to the kitchen.
